Attractive visual of the town is created by a mosaic of houses and streets that are full of stores, souvenir shops and pastry shops. Young people can find several popular night clubs on the island. Those who like monuments can visit the remains of the Old Town, Duke's Palace, 12th century Church of Virgin Mary, 15th century Church of the Assumption of Mary on the central town square, and the works of the most famous Croatian Renaissance sculptor, Juraj Dalmatinac.

Northern part of the island belongs to Lika-Senj County: Metajna, Novalja, and the popular Zrce Beach - oasis of crazy parties. The larger, south part belongs to Zadar County: Pag, Mandre, Simuni, Povljana, etc. Today, inhabitants are mostly focused on tourism. During the summer, the island is visited by over hundred thousand guests that stay in camps, hotels and mostly of all apartments. All towns and villages on the Island of Pag have apartments for rent, so it is certain you will be able to find accommodation. Pag mostly has pebble beaches. Rocky beaches are located mostly on the north side of the island. Nudists can enjoy specialized parts of Simuni and Strasko camp and a designated part of Zrce beach, while others can enjoy numerous other beaches: Caska, Babe, Trincel, Branicevica, Rucica, Slano, Sveti duh, Bosana, Dubrovnik, Mali Dubrovnik, Stara Povljana etc.
